Thank you to those who attended CAA's annual get-together for the Grant Park Music Festival on Wednesday, July 20th! Seven people showed up for Frans Lanting's LIFE: A Journey Through Time. The show opened with Osvaldo Golijov's Azul, the first performance of this work by the Grant Park Orchestra. The second part of the program, LIFE, featured music by Philip Glass and imagery from photographer Frans Lanting, whose work has been published in books and also featured in National Geographic. It was a wonderful and engaging program, and it was great to see familiar faces and meet new ones.
