About CAA
Since 1982, Chicago Area Archivists (CAA) has provided opportunities for local archivists, historians, librarians and others in the Chicago metro area to meet together for discussion, social interaction, and education. Our membership includes archivists, librarians, and records managers in academic, corporate, governmental, institutional, library, and museum settings.
Goals

The subcommittee is responsible for programming geared toward our member base, including social events, archives salons, panels, lectures, tours, and Day of Service. Programming opportunities may be developed in collaboration with members. Outreach and Member Engagement SubcommitteeThe Outreach and Member Engagement Subcommittee develops services and materials to improve involvement in the profession, recognize professional accomplishments and contributions of its members, increase awareness of CAA within Chicago and regionally, and promote the archives profession. The subcommittee is responsible for membership recruitment and analytics, new member referral incentive planning, and advocacy.
