The CAA listserv meets one of the CAA’s most important goals: to keep archivists in touch with each other, sharing knowledge, recommendations, and questions on a local level, with information specific to local sources and needs. You do not need to be a CAA member in order to subscribe to the list.

Email listserv@listserv.it.northwestern.edu with the following information: subscribe chi-area-archivists first and last name (no email signature)
Post a message to the listserv (as a subscriber):
Send to chi-area-archivists@listserv.it.northwestern.edu.
Note that only subscribers may post directly to the listserv (this is to cut down on spam).
Post a message to the listserv (not a subscriber):
Send a message to the Listserv Manager at j-olson@northwestern.edu.
Search the listserv:
Go to https://listserv.it.northwestern.edu and follow the instructions to set up a non-Northwestern password with the email address you used to subscribe to the CAA listserv.
Confirm the new password, then log in on the main Northwestern Listserv page.
Click on "Subscriber's Corner" at the top left and you'll see "CHI-AREA-ARCHIVISTS," where you can access the archives.
Unsubscribe:
Send “SIGNOFF CHI-AREA-ARCHIVISTS” to listserv@listserv.it.northwestern.edu (no email signature)
Change your email address:
Unsubscribe your original email address, then re-subscribe with the new email address.
