Creative Changes: Keeping Outreach Going During the Pandemic
When
27 Apr 2021
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Location
Online - Zoom
Registration is closed
Join the Curating and Exhibitions Interest Group for a special talk by David Greenstein, Lecturer in Special Collections and University Archives at the University of Illinois at Chicago, titled "Creative Changes: Keeping Outreach Going During the Pandemic".
Libraries, archives, and special collections departments shut down in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, yet many managed to provide some services and limited access to our collections while working remotely or onsite with restrictions. Guest speaker David Greenstein talks about a project at UIC where special collections provided archival resources to students in a virtual course, and considers ways curators thought creatively during the pandemic to make collection materials accessible. After his presentation, members are encouraged to talk about what happened at your institutions during the pandemic closures and phased reopening, and share innovative ways you provided outreach and exhibits during the pandemic.
RSVP by Friday, April 23rd. Organizers will send registrants Zoom information shortly before the program.
