Chicago Open Archives event: Visitors will be given a tour of the MCA's small Library and Archives space, which will include a show and tell of some of the most unique and engaging items from the collection. Visitors will then attend a short screening featuring archival footage of some early MCA programming, artist interviews, and MCA promotional videos.

The tour and screening will last approximately 90 minutes. Advance registration is required. This event is free of charge.

Since 1967, the MCA has been in the vanguard of contemporary art, making history with provocative and engaging programming. The Library and Archives collection keeps that history alive and makes it accessible to researchers and MCA staff alike. The archival collections tell the story of the MCA's exhibitions and programming through a rich variety of materials, including publications, photographs, exhibition records, ephemera, videos, and audio tapes.
