Read/Write Library's Self Preservation Series: Paper Edition
When
27 Apr 2013
2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Location
Read/Write Library Chicago, 914 N California Ave., Chicago, IL 60622
Celebrate Preservation Week by learning how to keep your paper in one piece!
Join the Read/Write Library for the next installment in their Self Preservation Series on April 27th at 2pm at the Read/Write Library. Steven Szegedi, Archivist and Special Collections Librarian at Dominican University, will lead an interactive workshop on all things paper. He will explore the history of paper, methods of production, and how to go about cleaning, repairing, and preserving your paper artifacts.
This workshop is open to all - from creators to librarians to the plain curious - and a $5 donation is suggested, but not required.
The workshop starts at 2pm, with some post-paper social time around 4pm.
