The CAA Outreach subcommittee invites you to brainstorm ideas for promoting your collections and services during Archives Month.
We are holding an Archives Month Idea Session on Thursday, 19 July at the Union League Club of Chicago. This discussion-style session is an opportunity for you to share what you’ve done in the past, receive feedback on activities you are considering for this year, and gather possible ideas for your institution.
Although we’re focusing on October, we know that outreach and advocacy occur throughout the year and all ideas are welcome. Idea sharing will be informal and low-tech.
Space is limited to 30 people and reservations are required. Please RSVP to info@chicagoarchivists.org, subject line Archives Month Idea Session, no later than 10 July.
To help facilitate communication among participants after the session, we’re creating a participants list. Names will be compiled from the RSVP list. To opt-in to having your contact information added to the list, please say you want to opt-in and provide your affiliation (optional) and your email address and/or phone number.
Sign-in and a brief meet-and-greet begins at 3:45 PM, session will begin at 4:00 PM.
This free event is open to CAA members and non-members.
