Volunteer your professional skills or learn new ones at a Day of Service to benefit the American Indian Center, 3401 W Ainslie in Albany Park. Serving nearly 65,000 American Indians living in the Chicagoland region, the American Indian Center (AIC) fosters community through social and cultural resources that encourage education, the preservation of tradition, and multi-generational bonds. On May 6, volunteers will work to organize, rehouse, and inventory the archive including slides, photographs, manuscripts, books, postcards, and potentially other materials.
Participants must be at least 18 years old, but all experience levels are welcomed.
