Archivists from Special Collections at the Harold Washington Library Center and from the Vivian G. Harsh Research Collection team up to explore the community impact of Chicago's Civil Rights Movement on buildings in African American neighborhoods in back-to-back events (first event starts at 10:00 am and the second starts at 11:00 am). Through highlights and clues from the Rev. Clay Evans Archive, the Brenetta Howell Barrett Papers and other related collections from each repository, the archivists will guide participants through an exploration of documents and photographs that reveal lesser known stories of South and West Side civil rights activists.
