Chicago Open Archives event: Go Bears! Go Bulls! Go Cubs! Go Hawks! Go Sox! Join us for an in-depth tour of our sports-related collections and of our current sports-related exhibits, led by archivists and research center staff. Explore materials related to both Chicago's well-known and loved teams, as well as more esoteric sports, including the Chicago Marathon!

The tour will last between 1.5 and 2 hours. Advance registration is required. This event is free of charge.

Visitors must register separately for each of the the events. Visitors will need to abide by the rules of the museum (e.g., complimentary bag check, no outside food or drink) for both events. Those attending both events are encouraged to browse the museum and make use of its café for lunch in between events and after the speaker concludes. Information on museum rules, parking and other visit logistics is available on the museum website at http://chicagohistory.org/.

The Chicago History Museum is a research center and exhibition space focused on collecting and telling Chicago's stories. In addition to exhibitions on Chicago’s history, the Chicago History Museum houses a Research Center which serves the research collections of the museum—archives and manuscripts, prints and photographs, published material, and architectural drawings.
