National Archives at Chicago - Behind the Scenes Tour
Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the archives and learn about the "National Treasures" stored right here in Chicago. Then enjoy a special display of some of these unique and unusual records.
1st Tour: 10:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.
2nd Tour: 11:30 a.m. - noon
3rd Tour: 12:30 p.m. - 1 p.m.
4th Tour: 1:30 p.m. - 2 p.m.
Maximum capacity: 30 visitors per tour.
Advance registration is required.
The National Archives at Chicago has more than 140,000 cubic feet of historical records dating from 1800 to the 1990s, including textual records and non-textual records such as maps and photographs from Federal courts and some 85 Federal agencies in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
