The CAA Events Subcommittee invites you all to join us for the Grant Park Music Festival* in Millennium Park on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 for Ella, Louis, and All That Jazz.
Jeff Tyzik and the Grant Park Orchestra pay tribute to Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, featuring the sultry voice of Marva Hicks and the hot brass of Byron Stripling.
When:
Wednesday, July 9, 2014, 8:00pm
Where:
Jay Pritzker Pavilion
Who:
Grant Park Orchestra
What:
It may be difficult to reserve space for a large group of people so committee members will arrive at Grant Park no later than 6:30pm to set up an area for attendees. The area will be reserved with a large tarp and sign so that you can find the group. Please try to arrive early to ensure that you have a place to sit.
Additionally, the Grant Park Music Festival allows outside drinks and snacks, so bring whatever food or beverages you would like to enjoy during the performance.
We look forward to seeing all of you there!
*The Grant Park Music Festival is the nation's only free, outdoor classical music series of its kind. Each summer, the Festival provides free classical music to all of Chicago in the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park.
Registration is requested. If you have questions about this event, contact CAA member Sutton Skowron at sutton821@yahoo.com.
The CAA Events Subcommittee uses RSVPs to measure attendance, and, in the event of low response, might postpone or cancel an event. As a result, please RSVP only if you are certain you can attend. If you RSVP but are unable to attend, please provide at least 24 hours notice.
