Call for Proposals:
Chicago Open Archives: The Unconference
Conference hosted by the Chicago Area Archivists
Date: Friday, October 23
Sessions starting at 9am
CAA invites you to participate in our first ever, Chicago Open Archives Unconference.
In celebration of American Archives Month, Chicago Open Archives connects community members with the collections, programs, and services of archival repositories throughout the city and suburbs.
Due to COVID-19 precautions, this year’s COA celebration will be in the form of a remote conference. Because many conferences across the Midwest and U.S. have been cancelled, we are accepting proposals on a variety of topics relevant to archives and special collections. We are accepting individual (20-30 minutes) and group (50 minutes) session proposals. Sessions that had already been accepted for a cancelled conference will be given priority. A confirmation of presenting at the cancelled conference should be included in the proposal.
Proposals are due by Friday, September 11 at 5pm.
To submit a proposal, fill out the form here. If you have any questions, please contact dnowak@mortonarb.org
Not interested in presenting but would like to volunteer? Fill out the form here. Contact dnowak@mortonarb.org to learn more.
Can’t make it to this event? Don’t worry – there will be more events throughout the year at a variety of dates, times, and locations. Have an idea for a CAA event? Contact info@chicagoarchivists.org!
