The Chicago History Museum is hiring a temporary Project Archivist for the Lyric Opera of Chicago visual materials processing project.

This position assists Archives staff in the processing of the Lyric Opera materials to ensure that materials are discoverable, accessible, and usable in support of the museum’s mission and purpose. Founded in 1954, the Chicago Lyric Opera is one of the leading opera companies in the United States, featuring performances by world-famous artists in classic and contemporary productions.      

 This is a temporary project position (450 hours total) at $19/hour, either full-time at 35 hours per week for approximately 13 weeks, or part-time at a minimum of 19 hours/week for approximately 24 weeks.
