The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Library seeks an experienced and innovative leader to head its Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) department.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the SCUA department of eight faculty, three civil service staff and several student employees in expanding collections, instructional services and outreach.  UIC is among the top five most diverse campuses in the nation and a national leader among urban, public higher education institutions in providing access to underrepresented students. 

Some of the department’s strategic areas of focus include diversifying its collections to reflect UIC and Chicago communities, expanding capacity to store physical materials, improving stewardship of digital materials and strengthening collaborative relationships to increase researchers' access to materials.
