The North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, IL is seeking a temporary graduate intern to work on an oral history project in anticipation of the School's upcoming centennial. The intern will work under the supervision of our archivist and will assist in the development of a digital archive featuring over 70 oral histories with members of the North Shore Country Day School community. Tasks will include separating the oral histories into thematic segments, assigning topics and keywords, and indexing the recordings using the Oral History Metadata Synchronizer. The ideal candidate will have some graduate coursework in library science or archives and experience with archival taxonomies and metadata. Experience with oral history is helpful, but not required. Schedule is flexible, and a modest stipend is available for this position.
