Armour Mission to 'Hippie Modernism': A Brief History of Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago Open Archives)

Visit the University Archives and Special Collections reading room for a short presentation on the history of Illinois Institute of Technology and to see highlights from our collections. University Archives and Special Collections staff will discuss the history of IIT, from the founding of the Armour Institute of Technology and Lewis Institute through the 1960's, using materials from the collection. Following a thirty-minute presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to browse materials including early wire recorders, photographs, projects, and academic catalogs from the New Bauhaus and Institute of Design, and Bronzeville community history materials.
