Chicago Open Archives event: Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Newberry's manuscripts and archives processing space. Archivists will present materials from the Newberry's extensive Chicago-related collections, and discuss our current projects.

The tour will last approximately 45 minutes. Advance registration is required. This event is free of charge.

Large bags, coats, food, and drink are not allowed on the tour. Lockers are available in the Newberry Library lobby to store personal items.

A world-renowned independent research library in Chicago, the Newberry offers readers an extensive, non-circulating collection of rare books, maps, music, manuscripts, and other printed material spanning six centuries.
