Chicago Open Archives event: UASC staff will conduct a show-and-tell of recent acquisitions and highlights from the collection, including early wire recorders developed at IIT, photographs and academic catalogs from the New Bauhaus and Institute of Design, and Bronzeville community history materials. The activity will take place in the UASC reading room.

The presentation will last approximately 45 minutes. Registration is not necessary, but is encouraged. This event is free of charge.

UASC is located on the lower level of the library.

University Archives & Special Collections (UASC) collects Illinois Institute of Technology records and those of its predecessor schools, the Armour Institute of Technology and Lewis Institute. UASC also houses materials related to the New Bauhaus and Institute of Design, the development of IIT’s Ludwig Mies van der Rohe-designed campus, and the Bronzeville neighborhood.
