Shorefront Legacy Center - Presentation with highlights from the collections

Dino Robinson, founder, will share the history and mission of Shorefront Legacy Center which was established to document and preserve Black history on Chicago's suburban North Shore. Visitors will learn about interesting (re)discoveries in the archives and see examples from the archives illustrating the interesting stories behind the center's work which involves engaging the community, collecting family and institutional artifacts, and how they were processed.

1st Presentation: 5 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.

2nd Presentation: 6 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.

Maximum capacity: 20 visitors per presentation

Shorefront collects, preserves , and educates people about Black history on Chicago's suburban North Shore. Covering seven suburban communities, Shorefront has created a permanent archive that documents over 150 years of local Black history.
